Attorney General William P. Barr appointed Tanawa Lebreton as an Immigration Judge in October 2020. Judge Lebreton earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from Hunter College and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Ave Maria School of Law. From 2017 to 2020, she was a practice group director with Inland Counties Legal Services, in Riverside, California. From 2010 to 2017,she was in private practice, in Temecula, California. From 2008 to 2009, she was a staff attorney with Catholic Legal Services, in Miami. From 2006 to 2008, she was a legal trainee/extern with Capital Collateral Regional Counsel-South, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Judge Lebreton is a member of the Florida State Bar.
