Tiesha R. Peal was appointed as an Immigration Judge to begin hearing cases in October 2022. Judge Peal ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from Syracuse University and Juris Doctor in 2004 from Rutgers-Newark School of Law. From 2016 to 2022, she served as an assistant district attorney at the Bronx District Attorney's Office. From 2014 to2016, she was a staff attorney at District Council 37 Municipal Employees Legal Services. From 2006 to 2014, she was a staff attorney at Essex-Newark Legal Services. Judge Peal is a member of the New York State Bar and the New Jersey State Bar.
