Official biography
Roger H. Dinh was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2023. Judge Dinh earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in 2007, both from Santa Clara University, and a Juris Doctor in 2011 from Hofstra University School of Law. From 2016 to 2023, he served as an assistant chief counsel, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Denver and San Francisco. From 2019 to 2021, while on temporary detail, he served as a special assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio. From 2014 to 2015, he served as a special assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California. From 2012 to 2013, he was an associate attorney at Michael B. Schulman & Associates PC in New York. Judge Dinh is a member of the New York State Bar.
