Attorney General William P. Barr appointed DeLana M. Jones as an Immigration Judge in October 2020. Judge Jones ear ned a Bachelor of Science in 1998 from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Harvard Law School. From 2013 to2020, she served as a special assistant U.S. attorney and as an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S.Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia, in Atlanta. From 2010 to 2013, she serve das a law clerk to the Honorable Linda T. Walker, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Northern District of Georgia, in Atlanta. From 2006 to 2010, she was in private practice, in Atlanta. Judge Jones is am ember of the Georgia State Bar.
