Attorney General William P. Barr appointed Charissa S. Dvorak as an immigration judge in March 2020. Judge Dvorak ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from Baylor University, a Masterof Arts in 1996 from Baylor University, a Juris Doctor in 1999 from Baylor University, and a Master of Business Administration in 2010 from Houston Baptist University. From 2016 to2020, she was an attorney with Spencer Fane LLP, in Dallas. From 2012 to 2020, she was a lead investigator for GRACE, a national non-profit, in Lynchburg, Virginia. From 2000 to 2011, sheserved as an assistant criminal district attorney in Texas for the District Attorney Offices of Harris County, McLennan County, and Dallas County. Judge Dvorak is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
