Judge Fishkin ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 from California State University, Long Beach, a Master of Arts in 2000 from California State University, Long Beach, and a Juris Doctor in 2004 from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. From 2006 to 2021, he was in private practice with the Law Office of Andrew J. Fishkin, in Bakersfield, California. From 2003 to 2005, he served as a Senior Special Agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Los Angeles. From 1997 to 2003, he served as a Special Agent for the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), Department of Justice (DOJ), in Los Angeles. From 1996 to 1997, he served as a Border Patrol Agent, U.S. Border Patrol, INS, DOJ, in San Diego. Judge Fishkin is a member of the State Bar of California.
