I-90 Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
Replaces or renews a green card that is expiring, lost, stolen, damaged, or wrong. It does not change status - the person is already a permanent resident and stays one whether or not the card is valid. Filing produces a receipt notice that extends the old card's validity for evidence of status.

Qué cambió en 2025 y 2026
- USCIS extended I-90 receipt-notice validity to 36 months in September 2024 because card production lagged so far behind. Conditional residents renewing a two-year card use Form I-751 or I-829 instead, not I-90.
