Joseph A. Weiner was appointed as an Immigration Judge to begin hearing cases in October 2022. Judge Weiner ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor in 2004 from the Santa Clara University School of Law. From 2012 to 2022, he was a staff attorney and then a senior staff attorney with the Immigrants' Rights Project at Public Counsel in Los Angeles. From 2010 to 2012, he was an immigration staff attorney at the HIV and AIDS Legal Services Alliance in Los Angeles. From 2009 to 2010, he was in private practice in Los Angeles. From 2005 to 2009, he was an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Richard D. Fraade in Beverly Hills, California. Judge Weiner is a member of the State Bar of California.
