Official biography

Attorney General William P. Barr appointed Erin L. Alexander as an Immigration Judge in December 2020. Judge Alexander ear ned a Bachelor of Science in 2004 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Engineering in 2009 from Pennsylvania State University,and a Juris Doctor in 2010 from Georgetown University Law Center. From 2014 to 2020, sheserved as an assistant district attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office. From2012 to 2014, she was in private practice in the District of Columbia. From 2004 to present, shehas served in the U.S. Navy, in active duty and reserve capacities, as a nuclear engineer, a civil engineer, and a judge advocate in the U.S., Afghanistan, and Italy. Judge Alexander is a memberof the New York State Bar.
