Attorney General William P. Barr appointed Amanda R. Jeannopoulos as an immigration jud gein June 2020. Judge Jeannopoulos ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from Mount Holyoke College and a Juris Doctor in 2005 from the Fordham University School of Law. From 2019 to2020, she served as deputy chief counsel, Office of Chief Counsel (OCC), Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in New York. From 2008 to 2019, she served as an assistant chief counsel,OCC, OPLA, ICE, DHS, in New York. From 2005 to 2008, she served as an assistant district attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office, in New York. Judge Jeannopoulosis a member of the New York State Bar.
