Alec J. Niziolek was appointed as an Immigration Judge to begin hearing cases in October 2022. Judge Niziolek ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from Utica College of Syracuse University and a Juris Doctorate in 2002 from the Indiana University-Bloomington Maurer School of Law. From 2006 to 2022, he was an assistant chief counsel, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Arizona, and during this time from 2020 to 2022 he served as the em bedded attorney with Homeland Security Investigations. From 2003 to 2006, he was an associate attorney with Collins & Martin, PC, in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Judge Niziolek is a member of the Connecticut Bar.
