I-914 Application for T Nonimmigrant Status

The T visa application for victims of a severe form of human trafficking who are in the United States because of that trafficking. It asks for four years of status, work authorisation, and a route to a green card. Applicants must generally comply with reasonable requests for help from law enforcement, with exceptions for children and for trauma.

  • Processing has worsened every year since FY 2023 and now runs well over two years. T applicants get work authorisation with the grant rather than while waiting, so the delay bites hard. Confidentiality under 8 USC 1367 applies.
