Judge Bartolomei was appointed as an Immigration Judge in September 1994. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1983, and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986. From 1991 to 1994, he served as a staff attorney for the Board of Immigration Appeals, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Falls Church, Virginia. From 1987 to 1991, Judge Bartolomei worked as an attorney with the Army Judge Advocate General's Corps. He is a member of both the Massachusetts and District of Columbia Bars.
