Enrique A. Holguin was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in November 2023. Judge Holguin ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Juris Doctor in 2012 from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. In 2023, he served as a mana ging attorney for a local nonprofit organization, Diocesan Migrant & Refugee Services, in El Paso. From 2014 to 2023, he practiced immigration and criminal defense law with the law office of Jaime Alvarado in El Paso, Texas. From 2015 to 2023, he also served as a municipal judge for the City of El Paso. In 2013, he was an assistant district attorney for the 34th Judicial District of Texas. Judge Holguin is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
