Courtney Chua Stevens was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in November 2024. Judge Chua Stevens ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 2008 from Tufts University and a Juris Doctor in 2011 from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. From 2019 to 2024, she was with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in New York City serving in the following positions: deputy chief counsel (2023-2024) and assistant chief counsel (2019-2023). From 2012 to 2019, she was an attorney in private practice in New York City practic ing matrimonial, family, and immigration law. Judge Chua Stevens is a member of the New York State Bar.
