Attorney General William Barr appointed Christina M. Martyak to begin hearing cases in October 2019. Judge Martyak ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 1989 from Boston College, a Mastersof Arts in 2000 from Ball State University, and a Juris Doctor in 2000 from St. Thomas University. From 2006 to 2019, she served as an assistant chief counsel, Office of Chief Counsel,Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Miami. From2005 to 2006, she served as an assistant state wide prosecutor for the Florida Office of the Attorney General, in Miami. From 2000 to 2004, she served as an assistant state attorney for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, in Miami. Judge Martyak is a member of the Florida Bar.
