Attorney General William P. Barr appointed Allan F. John-Baptiste as an immigration judge in June 2020. Judge John-Baptiste ear ned a Bachelor of Arts in 2000 from Florida Memorial University and a Juris Doctor in 2003 from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad School of Law. From 2013 to 2020, he served as an assistant general counsel, Federal Bureau of Prisons, in Grand Prairie, Texas. From 2007 to 2013, he served as an assistant U.S. attorney atthe U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of the Virgin Islands, in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. From 2004 to 2007, he served as an assistant state attorney, Office of the State Attorney,Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Judge John-Baptiste is a member of the Florida State Bar and the State Bar of Texas.
