Visiting
Visitation hours: Please call (225) 655-9013 to schedule visits with a detainee and/or obtain additional information. Visitation is allowed seven days a week Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m, Saturday and Sunday: 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. Visitors unaccompanied must be at least 18 years of age. - Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. - Visitors will have a valid government issued photo identification to enter the facility.
Legal visits
Legal representatives are authorized to visit their clients during the following hours: Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. G-28s filed on behalf of detained aliens at this facility can now be accepted through the online platform ERO eFile.
Mail and money
Letters sent to detainees must include the last four digits of the detainee's A-number (File Number), plus the sender's name and address. A mail pick-up and delivery schedule is posted in all housing units. Indigent detainees (those who have no means of financial support and no funds in their facility account) will be provided postage allowance at government expense. To enhance the safety of the facility, all incoming mail is subject to screening for contraband.
