Legal representatives of detainees are authorized to visit their clients during the following hours: In-Person Visitation 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. For appointments occurring on or after May 1, 2026, legal visitation can now be scheduled in advance through ERO eFile on a first come basis.

Mail and money

Legal mail is opened and inspected for contraband in the presence of the resident, but it is not read by the facility staff. Dilley is a family residential center where the average length of stay for families is approximately 20 days, in accordance with the Flores Settlement Agreement.
